's economy. when you divided it out it was about $400,000 per job. the problem with a government stimulus is you pick the winners and losers. with this stimulus that i'm talking about, a free market stimulus, you simply leave the money in the hands of those who earned it. so the customers have actually picked out the successful people, the ones they choose to buy products from. those people get more money. like i met a young man, young african-american man who has his own restaurant. his first question is, do you have any tax breaks for me for my business? that's what this would do. it would help people who are already in business and trying. >> i don't have to tell you, senator, that republicans have a steep hill to climb in inner city neighborhoods. in the city of detroit in november, 97% of detroit voters supported president obama. 2% voted for romney. the black unemployment rate nationally is still 12.5%. and right now president obama is calling out the gop for what he says is your party's refusal to extend long-term unemployment benefits. take a look at what he said this week. >> for

the economy is starting to move ahead again. survey shows many believe that the report will say employers added 180,000 jobs last month. that would keep the monthly gain at 200,000 since last august. and they believe the jobless rate will slip a bit to 7.2%. that report comes in at 5:30. the port of san francisco selling commemorative bricks that will be used at the new waterfront park at pier 27. bricks will line the parks walkway. a neighborhood activist says brick sales will help pay off the city's debt from hosting the america's cup races as well as the administrative cost to set up the brick program. >> very deceptive the way it is marketed. we want to make sure people have the facts. >> its money that is coming back to the port to help us with infrastructure costs that were put out. >> the park is scheduled to open late next year. >>> today apple launches its i beacon service to help you find your way around the store. it sends messages to users on their iphones. the information is based on where you are inside the store. but you won't get them automatically. you have to down load t

americans are getting jobs, which reflects growth in the economy. the adp national employment report showed the private sector added 215,000 jobs in november, and that was more than expected. close attention will be paid to the november report, which is due out on friday. >>> it's cold out there right now. check out napa at 24 degrees. i've got a forecast for napa in the area around santa rosa, for overnight lows into the teens. napa could easily get down to 19 degrees tonight. even cooler. walnut creek, 26 degrees. right now, temperatures below freezing. the freeze warning in effect for everybody until 9:00 a.m. tomorrow except san francisco. interestingly enough, we still have light winds out there. these winds, when they die down, it's going to get colder. we're looking for records tomorrow. napa tomorrow could easily crush its record set in 1972. the records of 1972. livermore, 24. that breaks a record. oakland could break a record. san francisco could break a record. it is going to be one cold morning tomorrow morning. then on top of that, the next weather system coming in. the latest
